Guilty lunch breaks lately. The daily Subway visits discontinued after the move to a new job site. Ambling home at five, lazy and worn, I fear confrontation with the betrayed employee. Cookies! Free cookies, and never too troubled to brew your. . .coffee. This is my reciprocation, sir? He weeps. I produce a crumpled napkin from my pea coat, gesturing sympathy with tired eyes.
